Jennifer Streb came to Juniata in 2005 as an assistant professor of art history. She earned a bachelor's degree in business administration in 1993 from Juniata College. She went on to earn a master's degree in art history in 1997 from Penn State University and a doctoral degree in art history in 2004 from Penn State.
Her research interests focus on modern American art, particularly such mid-20th century painters as Minna Citron and Henry Koerner. Streb has held faculty positions at Penn State Altoona, where she worked as an instructor since 1999. She has also taught for Penn State's World Campus program, and for the Department of Continuing Education at St. Francis University, in Loretto, Pa.
She has curated a variety of art exhibits at galleries at Penn State Altoona, including shows featuring the work of Minna Citron, Harriet Hacker, Ann Tarantino and many other artists.
She is a current member of the College Art Association and a former member of the Altoona Commission for Women, and she also served as Penn State Altoona's Digital Database coordinator. She has written catalog essays for exhibits on Minna Citron and Henry Koerner and contributed articles for the upcoming book _Buildings of the United States: Western Pennsylvania_.
Streb also has presented papers and lectures at such institutions as Gettysburg College, Juniata College, the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art and Penn State's University Park campus.
