Some Important Vocabulary:
Students should be able to define these terms fully and provide examples where appropriate.

Paradigm - a broad framework that guides the work of scholars over a long period of time (Kuhn)
Anomaly - findings, observations, or events that cannot be explained by the existing paradigm

Linear Model - One Way; No feedback
Interactive - Adds feedback
Transactional - Recognizes that both interactants are both sender and receiver at any given time; sees communication as dynamic, ongoing, etc.

You will notice that I have not indicated the category (linear, interactive, transactional) into which each model falls.  Please attempt to do that on your own as you study.
