Todd D. Gustafson
Professor of Biology
                                     Professor Gustafson was an aviator in the U.S. Navy before pursuing his academic interests. A magna cum laude graduate from Jacksonville University, he went on to earn his M.S. and Ph.D at the University of Wisconsin, Madison and worked as a research scientist for the Wisconsin Institute for Environmental Studies.

       He came to Juniata in 1976 to teach ecology and botany. He also coordinates the cooperative programs in forestry and environmental management with Duke University.

       Dr. Gustafson is the recipient of Juniata's 1981 Lindback Distinguished Teaching Award; the Biology Honor Society Student Award; the Creager Botany Award, and was named a Woodrow Wilson Designate.

       A member of the Ecological Society of America and the American Society of Limnology and Oceanography, he is author and co-author of articles published in such publications as Freshwater Wetlands, Aquatic Botany and Photosynthetica.
