Detailed fracture orientation mapping of low sulfidation epithermal Au system, Ganrain, Ecuador

During the summer of 2005, two Juniata College students spent two months mapping a prospect gold deposit in the Ecuadorian Andes. They spent their days locating, measuring, and describing gold bearing veins along with constructing a general geologic map. Their objectives were to construct cross section of the area to locate vein intersections. Images of the field area along with a cross section provide a feel for what the experience was like.
