Juniata Creations

Andy has played a pivotal role in establishing many fine and enduring traditions at Juniata College. He has helped to create serious institutions like the Baker Institute for Peace and Conflict Studies and the Peace Chapel. He has also created traditions that helped to lend a sense of fun to the Juniata College Campus. For example, the infamous five golden rings section at the traditional holiday Madrigal Dinner, which in turn spawned the annual camp out for tickets to the dinner, was inspired by Andy's performance of "The Twelve Days of Christmas."

His contributions have helped to unite the community surrounding the Juniata College campus through his introduction of programs such as Meal for Crop, in which students give up one of their meals in order to feed the less fortunate members of the Huntingdon area. The 2000 Prayers for Peace campaign also helped to involve the Huntingdon Community in the workings of Juniata College. Andy continues to create programs and activities that encourage the interaction between Juniata and the local community.
