AR 316 19th Century Art-
AR 316 is an in-depth study of nineteenth century European painting and, to a lesser extent, sculpture. Although the art of France will receive primary focus, the artistic achievements of other countries such as England and Germany will be examined as well. The purpose of this course is to provide an understanding of not only the stylistic principles of an era, but also those human values and cultures which served as inspiration.
