Students should maintain a cordial and respectful atmosphere while working in lab, taking out frustration on those willing to help is not acceptable.
The instructor treats students with respect and she expects the same in return.
The student has responsibility for completing the assigned work, and they should attend lab prepared. Further, students should not expect to attend lab and have the solutions fed to them.
The material in the assignments, as well as the methods to solve the problems, will have been discussed in lecture or discussed in the textbook. Students should CONSULT THEIR NOTES. The instructor is not a “help” button.
Most of the assignments have very specific directions. Following these directions and answering each question go a long way toward a high score on the assignment.
Students should not use non-course related software, web-surf, email, IM, or cellphones, during lab.
