Real
Analysis by Gerald B. Folland, 2nd
edition, published by Wiley.
At
the end of the course you will receive a letter grade based on the following:
o Midterm (40 points).
o Homework (80 points).
o Final exam (80 points).
More precisely your score will be based on the best of the two sums:
o S1=M+H+F.
o S2=H+1.5F.
There
will be weekly problem sets which will be turned in a week after assignment,
but on which you may work alone, in groups, or using any resources you can
find. The important thing is to do all the problems, in one way or another.
Each homework assignment is worth 10 points. Only your 8 best scores will be taken into account. (Nine assignments are projected for the
quarter.)
