t Juniata, I am the Instruction Librarian in the L. A. Beeghly Library. I spend half of my time at the reference desk and during the other half I coordinate all library instruction and I teach several library courses. Those sessions include Introduction to Library Research (a 1 credit semester-long course), Information Access (required by all incoming students), the library module of Chem-Bio lab, and various course-related library sessions requested by faculty. I really enjoy teaching people how to find information of all types and in all subject areas.

“It's not just fast computers that I like!"
I am originally from a rural area in Bedford County, about an hour from Huntingdon. Following high school, I attended Lock Haven University, initially to study biology and play softball. I changed my major once or twice, decided that I was going to focus on academics instead of sports, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science degree. During my sophomore year I studied abroad at the University of Reading at Bulmershe Court in southern England. That was a fabulous experience that I highly recommend. After Lock Haven, I went to the University of Pittsburgh and graduated with a Master of Library and Information Science. Before coming to Juniata, I was a library systems specialist in the medical library of the Altoona Hospital in Altoona, PA.

My husband, Mike Woodling, is an accomplished artist. His murals grace residential and commercial walls in many places, including the Altoona/Blair County Airport, Faccia Luna Pizzeria in State College, and the Martinsburg Auto & RV Expo. We have a son, Maverick, and you will see or at least HEAR him in the library from time to time!

I especially want to thank students Stacey and Mike for the creation of my pages.
