An introductory study of computer science software development concepts. Java is used to introduce a disciplined approach to problem solving methods, algorithm development, software design, coding, debugging, testing, and documentation in the object oriented paradigm. This is the first course in the study of computer science.

Please read them carefully, especially on academic integrity. One deviation from the standard course policies is that for this class, I do
allow programming assignments to be turned in up to 1 week late. For any late
programming assignments, I deduct 10% for being late, and 10% for each additional
day that you do not report your progress to me. Assignments will not be accepted
past 1 week late. In addition, all assignments must be turned in by the last
